WOW

well apparently it has been over a year since I have posted anything on here. My New Year's goal is to try and post on this blog more often through out 2011. I don't even know if anyone reads this anymore beings I have been horrible at updating this. Hopefully I'll even get better at posting pictures on here.
Well what has happened in the past year? Our family has had it's share of medical news lol. In April, Taylor fell off of the monkey bars at daycare, and broke his wrist. He thought it was pretty cool that he got to wear a blue cast for 4weeks, Mom on the other hand thought she was for sure going to end up with grey hair befor she was 30 lol. His wrist healed perfectly fine, and he was able to get the cast off before summer hit.
Sarah turned 5 this past June and started kindergarten in August. She absolutely loves school! She has made many friends, and her best friend from daycare Corrin is even in her same class. That made the transition a little easier for her. She loves art, she has definantly gotten the art talent from her Grandpa Gerlach. She LOVES music, and is always singing something. She also likes to read and spell.
Taylor is in the second grade. He is such a smart kid, I know that I really learn things from him. He loves science, and reading! He is a great reader one of the best in his class. He is actually on a 3rd grade reading level. (can we say proud mommy!)
Brian and I are doing well. Brian got to visit Frankfort Germany this past Novemember. He had to go over there for a buissness trip, but got a couple of days of pleasure and sight seeing. He took lots of pictures for me, so maybe when I figure out how to upload pictures on my new camera I will post some of them on here for you guys.
I am doing, well I'm doing. Ha Ha. For those of you who don't know I had a real struggle with my health this year. I started getting really sick in September. In October they removed my gallbladder, hoping that was the problem. It definantly was a problem, and had pretty much quit on me, but that still didn't not fix the problems that I was having. So through out the month of Novemeber I went through quiet a bit of testing and they finally diagnosed me with Crohn's Disease. It has definantly been a struggle, but thankfully my husband, children, family and friends have kept my spirits up. Now it's just time to find the right treatment and to learn how to eat again lol. I keep telling myself that the silver lining in this whole thing is the fact that I have lost 40 lbs and hopefully will be able to keep it off and keep loosing the weight lol.
I am still working at Verizon Wireless as a Customer Service rep. I can't believe it's been over 2 years that I have been there lol.
Well hopefully I will post more soon Hope you have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

update

So it's been a long time since I've written anything. Life is good, just extremly busy. The kids started a new daycare in February. They absolutely love it. Sarah's class does a preschool program every day and she loves the fact that she gets to learn. She loves playing with the kids her own age. Taylor is doing well, he likes the after school program at the daycare as well. It's a nice Christian-based daycare so that makes it a lot easier to take the kids there.
Brian is doing well. He's so very smart, the other day, he taught me (more showed me) how to change the breaks on the van. He's very smart in so many things. It amazes me how smart and knowledgable he is. He know so much from computers, to gardining, mechanics, and home improvments, plus many more. Taylor just thinks it's so awesome how much daddy knows, he always wants to help him, and learn from him.
I am doing well, still trying to balance working and being a mom, and wife and everything else. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. My job is a good job, busy and crazy but good. It's really nice when you get the calls and you know that you helped that person and they appreciate it. If you don't know yet, I've been working for Verizon Wireless in their Customer Care department since September 15, 2008.
I really miss being at home, but I know that this is what I need to be doing right now. It's been nice to have the support from my husband while I've been going to work, and he helps me out so much. I really appreciate everything he does.

No School, My totally awesome husband

So I have a totally AWESOME husband! Besides the fact that he's the love of my life and my best friend. He's a great guy because he's such a loving understanding caring man. He's helped out so much since I started back at work. I know it probably hasn't been easy for him to have to do pretty much everything for him and the kids. I don't get off of work untill 9pm so he picks the kids up from daycare and feeds them, bathes them and puts them to bed. All I get to do is peek on them and give them a kiss before I go to bed. I really do appreciate everything he does for me and our little family. So for Christmas I got him a new computer because he desevedit and I knew it was something that he would enjoy :) He as well decided to spoil me and I got a brand new TV for my Christmas present, we've already put it up and it's awesome :) I'm really loving the flat screen in my tiny living room it's really nice. Thanks so much to my AWESOME! husband. I realy do love him for all that he does.

Don't you wish sometimes that you were in school, just so you could have a snow day? I was sleeping very nicely this morning and at 5:30 AM I got a phone call l still have to go to work because etting me know that school was closed do to all the lovely ice we got last night. Which by the way I got to drive home in from work, that was a lot of fun the ice was so thick on the windows, it was very interesting. I was happy to hear that school was out so my kids could stay home and be safe. I will atill have to go to work but Brian my totally AWESOME husband will get off of work early to stay home with our beautiful children. I really wish I was in school just so I didn't have to go today lol.

Snow

So today is the first real snow here in Lincoln and I officially HATE snow! I don't like driving in it, I don't like walking in it, and I don't like how cold it is. I really am a chicken when it comes to snow. and the worst thing is I have to go to work. And I have to drive there. hmmmmmmmm maybe I'll call my daddy and have him drop me off lol. Ahh well, I guess I'll drive and hopefully make it there in one piece, nice and warm with all of my fingers and toes. Well frost bite does happen. Just not a lot here in Nebraska. Tomorrow is my day off and Brian and I are supposed to go Christmas shopping for the kids. Guess who's driving? (not me!) Ok so I really am acting like a baby, maybe I'll just move to Arizona or Georgia. NO really!!!!
Anyways, things here are going well, just busy with Christmas shopping and trying to get everything done before the Holiday is here. I really am a big procrastinator when it comes to Christmas shopping. I promise I will get pictures up here soon. HOpe you all have a good day.

Eagle Scout

So last night we went up to the church to honor my brother Aubrey Adam Gerlach for getting his Eagle Scout. We are all so very proud of Aubrey. It's been so neat to see him strive to get his Eagle Scout. He's such a very sweet boy and wants to help anyone out that he can. Nathaniel got to stand up there and welcome him as an Eagle scout beings he got his in 2005. :) I'm so proud of my brothers for being Eagle Scouts, it's a privlage to be around them knowing that they are both very wonderful men. :) Aubrey will be 18 here at the end of the month, I can't believe it. I remember the day he was born, and the day my mom found out that she was pregnant with him :) I also can't believe that Nate is 22 man I'm starting to feel old. :)
Our whole family was able to be there except Sheena's husband Jake who was really sick. It was nice to see how many people turned up there to honor him. There was many people I didn't know but many I did. Craig Reinsch was the MC at the ceremony, Nate Habel showed up which ment a lot to my family beings his parents weren't able to be there, also President and Sister Tanner, the Tripps, the Layborns, and many others. It was just nice to see everyone there.
Now we just have to wait for Aaram who's 12 to get his Eagle Scout and then the next boy after Aaram will be my Taylor (man I don't want to be THAT old yet lol) But I can't wait to be the mommy that's getting her pin for her son being an Eagle Scout.
Speaking of which, it was neat to see my mom wear her little ribbon with all of my brother's pins on it. I don't think she has much more room on it lol. Iwas so excited for my parents, they were really proud of Aubrey as we all are. Congrats Aubrey Adam on this wonderful accomplishment.
